In short
The feed is for photographs of food. Post what you ate, be decent to other people, and report what should not be there. Every post is checked by an automated filter and, when needed, by a person. You will hear back within 24 hours if something you posted is held or removed.
What you may post
A photograph of a meal, a snack, a drink, groceries or a dish being cooked, taken by you, with the dish’s name from your diary and, if you like, a caption about it. People at the table, your kitchen and your hands are fine. So is alcohol on a table.
What you may not post
Photographs that are not of food — a selfie without a plate, a screenshot, an advertisement, a landscape. Nudity or sexual content. Violence, gore, weapons used against people, or self-harm. Anything that promotes starvation, purging, extreme restriction or “thinspiration”. Insults, hate speech, threats or bullying aimed at anyone. Somebody else’s face shown against their will, a phone number, an address, an ID document or a card. Spam, and anything you have no right to share.
Comments
Comments are open to everyone to read and, with a subscription, to write. The same rules apply to a comment as to a post. The author of a post may turn comments off on it, and may reply under a comment. Everybody else comments at the top level.
How moderation works
An automated filter checks every photograph and every text first. When it is unsure, a person looks. While a post is being checked, only you can see it.
Anyone can report a post or a comment. Every report is read by a person. If they agree, the content is taken down and its author is told the reason. The person who reported it is never named.
What happens when rules are broken
The first and second rejected posts or comments in a month are just that: not published, with the reason. The third pauses your ability to post and comment for seven days. Serious or repeated breaches close the feed to your account entirely. Your diary and the rest of the app are not affected.
Reports are for content that breaks these rules. If your reports are dismissed three times in a month, or you send five in ten minutes, the report button is paused for you — for a week and for a day respectively. Blocking a person is always available and pauses nothing.
Appeals
If you think a decision was wrong, write to support@milavikafit.app from the app’s Support screen, naming the post. A person who was not involved in the first decision will look again.
Blocking
You can block any author. Neither of you will see the other’s posts or comments, and neither can like, comment on or report the other’s. You can undo a block from your profile at any time.
