MilavikaFit — Privacy Policy

In short

MilavikaFit is a calorie and nutrition diary. We collect what the app needs to work and nothing else. There is no advertising identifier in this app, no third-party analytics, and no data broker of any kind. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

You can delete your account, and everything in it, from Settings inside the app in three taps. Deletion is immediate and it cascades.

Who we are

The developer identified on the MilavikaFit App Store and Google Play pages is responsible for the app. For questions about this policy, access to your data or deletion, write to support@milavikafit.app.

What we collect, and why

The list below covers data sent from your device. Active energy and workouts from your phone’s health store — Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android — are processed only on your phone and are never sent to our server, so they are not included.

Your email address. Creating your account, signing you in, and replying if you write to support. It is never sold, never shared with a data broker and never used for advertising.

An account identifier. Connects your diary, weight history and goals to your account. It is checked whenever your data is accessed, and it is deleted with everything else when you delete your account.

Your food diary and weigh-ins. The meals you log, their nutrition, your weigh-ins and your calorie goal. Readings imported from your phone’s health store (Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android) are reconciled on your device. Only a resulting weigh-in is stored, and no workout, activity total or raw health sample read from it is ever uploaded.

Workouts you write in the app. The activity, how long it lasted and the calories it burned — or the calories you type in — so your day’s target and your weekly report can count them. A workout recorded by a watch or by your phone’s health store is never uploaded. Deleting a workout removes it, and deleting your account removes all of them.

The awards you earn. Which awards you have earned and on what day — the first photo, a week in a row, the tenth workout — so your badges are the same on every phone you sign in on. An award is never shown to other users, and deleting your account removes all of them.

Meal photographs. A photo is uploaded so its calories can be estimated. The location it was taken at is removed on your device before upload, and the image is deleted automatically 30 days afterwards.

Voice recordings. When you log a meal by voice, the seconds you record are uploaded so they can be turned into text and then into diary entries. Dictation to Milavika is uploaded the same way and becomes the text of your message. The recording is deleted immediately after transcription — it is never stored and never used to identify you.

Whether your subscription is active. So Pro features unlock. It reaches us from the App Store or Google Play. We never see a card number and never handle a payment.

Crash reports. If the app crashes, a report saying where in the code it stopped goes to Sentry, a crash-reporting service we use, so we can fix it. It carries nothing that says who you are — no account id, no IP address — and of the technical notes made while the app runs, it keeps only the app’s own.

Which actions failed. When something in the app fails, we record the screen, the type of failure, any error status, and the app version, build and platform. This is linked to your account in MilavikaFit so we can check whether a newer app version has fixed the problem. We never store the text of an error message.

What you post in the feed and write to Milavika. The caption on a post and any comment you write are stored with the post and shown to other users beside the photograph and your display name. Whether you liked a post, reported one or blocked its author is stored as a fact about your account. Deleting the post or the comment removes the text at once, and deleting your account removes all of it. What you write or dictate to Milavika, the assistant in your diary, is kept for 30 days so we can check her answers, and then deleted. If her chat is paused, the messages that paused it are kept with your account so a person can review them. Deleting your account removes them too.

What you write to support. Your messages to support, the details the form shows you before you send it (such as the app version and your platform) and our replies are kept with your account, so we can answer you and you can read the conversation again. Each message also reaches our support inbox by email, sent through Resend, the email service we use. We also read the requests to write the frequently asked questions on our support page. We write those in our own words and never include your name, your email address or a quotation of what you wrote. Deleting your account deletes the messages.

A notification address for your device. If you allow notifications, we keep the address your device’s notification service gives the app, so we can tell you that support has answered, that you received a gift, that a decision was made about your post or that a newer version of the app is out. Each notice goes through Expo, the push service we use, to Apple or Google, who deliver it. The address is removed when you sign out on that device and deleted with your account.

Health data

If you turn on health sync, MilavikaFit writes the meals you log to your phone’s health store — Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android — and reads back body weight, workouts and active energy. Every scope is asked for separately and any one of them can be refused without disabling the rest.

Health data read from the platform store is never used for advertising, is never shared with a third party, and is never uploaded except for a weigh-in that becomes a row in your own weight history. Turning sync off leaves everything previously written in your health store untouched unless you ask us to remove it.

Looking a food up

When you search for a food or scan a barcode, the text or number on the packet is sent to our server. To answer your search, the text or barcode may be shared with Open Food Facts and FoodData Central without your account identifier.

Where it is stored, and for how long

Your diary is protected against access by other users. Your data is protected during transfer and storage.

Diary photographs are deleted automatically 30 days after upload. A photograph published to the feed follows the post instead: it is removed when you delete the post, and thirty days after a rejection. Everything else is kept until you delete it or delete your account.

Your rights

You can correct any entry or delete your account and all its data from Settings. Exporting the diary as CSV directly from the app is part of Pro, but everyone can request a copy of their data: write to support@milavikafit.app from the address on the account. We can also delete the data at your request. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to object to processing or complain to your data protection authority.

Children

MilavikaFit is not for children. The app asks for your date of birth during onboarding and does not create an account for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, write to support@milavikafit.app and we will delete it.

The feed

If you publish a post, we store the photograph you chose, the dish’s name, your caption, whether comments are allowed and, if you turned it on, that portion’s calories, together with the post’s status and the filter’s verdict. Your display name is shown beside the post, and nothing else from your profile or diary is. Likes, comments, reports and blocks are stored as facts about your account. A report is never shown to the person it is about.

Every post and comment is checked by an automated filter, and a person looks when the filter is unsure or somebody reports it. The filter keeps nothing of what it sees. A post you delete disappears at once: its text, its dish name and its calories are erased from our database and its photograph is removed from storage shortly after. A rejected post stays visible only to you for thirty days and is then erased the same way. A record of each moderation decision is kept without the content it was about.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, we change this page and the date at the top of it in the same release, and we update the privacy declarations in the App Store and on Google Play at the same time.
